Not much happened this week. I made a couple solutions and changed the title of my project, but I didn't run any IHCs. I talked to my mentor and hopefully I will start my own project next week or the week after. Right now I am working on a proposal where I will write up the things I need for the experiment (primary and secondary antibodies, animal serum, and tissues) and what I plan to do so that my mentor can get my supplies ready.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the new title of the project? How long do you estimate that it will take for you to run the necessary experiment and collect data?
I'm not sure I like it that much but as of right now it is "Tangles and Plaques in Alzheimer's". If I can't come up with anything better by Thursday than I'm keeping it as the title. If the runs are successful than it shouldn't take more than a week. Right now I'm not sure if I will do a second part (because originally I planned to do either a western blot or immunofluorescence also), but if I do than that will take about 2 weeks to learn and one week to complete if all goes well. I will be sure about whether or not I am doing it by my next post this week.
